Chapa namak is a dried apricot roll that originated in Afghanistan:
- Ingredients: Made from the saqi variety of apricot, which is only found in the Bamiyan and Daykundi provinces of Afghanistan
- Preparation: The apricots are rolled flat, exposed to intense sunlight, and then dried in a shaded area
- Taste: Sweet and firm with a soft consistency
- Serving: Traditionally eaten in Afghanistan with tea or coffee, and at festivals
- Other names: Also known as twisted apricots, chapanamak, or chapie namak
